Key Account Executive

Universal Consensus is currently looking for an Account Executive for our San Diego office to handle strategic business accounts nationwide.

The position entails marketing, value selling and introducing services-based products to new and existing clients and channels. Prospects and Clients also communicate directly with the Account Executive to discuss project scope, request quotations, and determine lead times. Communication will occur through numerous channels, including telephone, email, fax, social media and face to face. In addition, the Account Executive is expected to communicate pertinent information about orders to clients and prospects, including track upside, committed, booked, and billed business, is required to follow up on leads and manage leads through Salesforce. The Account Executive handles some project execution tasks and overall coordination between consultants and Outside Sales (or management of Universal Consensus), especially for sales in which professional services resale is considered complex or requires executive sponsorship.

Duties and Responsibilities
The Account Executive is expected to:
 Developing and accomplishing a lead generation plan, along with the assistance of the executive and business development team, and using that plan to meet or exceed monthly and annual targets
 Participating fully in training sessions, meetings, skill building and professional development classes
 Identifying decision makers amongst the targeted leads in order to start and facilitate the sales process
 Cooperating with other Account Executives, Sales Managers, and executives to determine essential strategic approaches for sales
 Maintaining and expanding the database of prospects of target organizations in the Universal Consensus Salesforce portal
 Initiating, training, and supporting communications for all sales and delivery channel throughout the sales and delivery cycles
 Attending sales group meetings concerning sales targets or forecasts, reporting on market situation
 Handling exceptions, cancellations, and changes in orders and communicating the changes with the related and affected parties
 Handling situations in which clients have not paid according to agreed terms
 Coordinating with management to ensure the delivery commitments to clients are met
 Providing effective and in-depth product presentations for end-user customers and channel sales representatives
 Understand how to emphasize product service features and benefits, discussing financial terms, quoting prices, and preparing sales order reports or forms
 Capturing of accurate and complete information in Salesforce
 Attending industry conferences to develop industry expertise and to build network

Skills and Specifications
This position is perfect for someone with prior sales experience who has excellent personal qualities and are motivated to move “up sales value chain” and engage in solving critical client problems on a very strategic level. Another potential scenario would be a senior account executive looking for more independence or substantial revenue opportunities.

Education
 Bachelor Degree or other relevant business experience. This position could be combined with studies towards a degree.
 Relevant training or extensive experience in Inside sales, field sales, business, and/or sales management
